They feature two decorative pouches with closing systems either side of a bridge. The saddle bags are sometimes known as Khorjin or Heybe.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSaddle bags are woven in one continuous piece and when taken off the loom the two ends are folded back and sewn-up on the sides. The central section is the connecting panel (this can be short or long) that allows the two bags to be carried over the back of the nomad’s animal and holds the two bags together. The Khorjins can be sealed as they often have slits near the upper edge of each face side and loops on the back side. The loops can be pulled through the slits and then through one another thereby sealing the bag.
