After the rug is cut from the loom there are several artisan finishing procedures in it's creation. The pile is cut shorter to show the detailing, the rug is washed, the weft threads on the sides are bound to form the selvedges, and the cotton warp threads form the fringes which, in this case, are artistically bound and tied with colourful woollen yarns that echo the main colours of the rug itself.

Key Details

Country of Origin: Afghanistan

Dimensions: 200 x 152cm / 6'7" x 5'0"

Thickness: 7mm

Pile: Wool

Warp: Cotton

Age: New
